I’m also passionate about all things eco-friendly, holistic health, and my family.

Currently my volunteer time is limited, but over the last few years I’ve spent time giving back as I can. I look forward to having more free time for volunteer opportunities in the future. Here’s a sampling of my most recent efforts:

Fun Facts:

While you probably are more interested in my marketing and business skills, I think it’s fun to know a little background stuff too.

  • I was born and raised in Macomb, Illinois, prior to moving to Peoria for college.
  • I have one brother who is 5 years younger than me.
  • I am so “my mother’s daughter” as any of you who know her can plainly see.
  • I met my husband at a friend’s wedding in Macomb. The couple made sure to introduce us, knowing we’d hit it off.
  • I dreamed of working in the music industry or doing event marketing out in California during my college days, which led me to the Art Guild for event experience as a volunteer.
  • While working at the Art Guild and being involved in the Riverfront resurgence I really came to love living in Peoria by being active in the community.
  • I always wanted to be a graphic designer, but my high school art teacher made it quite clear I lacked artistic talent, especially drawing. So marketing is the closest thing to a “creative art” that I found in business school.
  • I find this section way harder to write than I expected. Maybe it’s because I always push for marketing copy to rarely start with the word “I” but this section is indeed filled with “I statements.”
  • I remember how to spell Australia to this day using the mnemonic device I came up with in grade school “Australia uses some things rarely although little is alot” and yes I know a lot is actually two words.
